So as my fans all know I am nudging my husband down a more natural path, I have been naturally minded since he met me but he has been a work in progress & really even at times down right against it :) But he's been doing a lot better & was even excited by The Men's Soap Shop items, so I knew contacting them to do a review would make for a great blog post aimed at men. And I can also tell you how much I love these products on my man.
So I contact Samuel at The Men's Soap Shop & he was very helpful & got the products to me right away & even offered an awesome giveaway for Shaving Brush Set #5 Bergamot (Ended), so men of my blog be ready to enter, & ladies you need to enter too so you can give this awesome gift to the man in your life.
The package arrived & my husband of course was at work & I opened it to make sure all arrived ok (it did) & right away I knew he was going to totally love these items, you could tell they were quality products & the perfect scent for my husband (so indeed the perfect scent for me to smell on him, oh yeah!). The Men's Soap Shop had sent him 1 Aftershave Splash in Cedarwood and Patchouli, & 1 Shaving Soap in Cedarwood and Patchouli. I kept smelling them several times throughout the day before my husband got home & totally loved the scent & I knew it would compliment him well. I almost could not wait for him to get home so I could give him these 2 items. He is a woodsy outdoors kinda guy, he works hard but he like to hunt & the scent was totally him.
So when I gave him the box he read the scent & seemed skeptical, he really had not liked a Patchouli essential oil I had added to a DIY deodorant I had made him, but I encouraged him to smell it anyhow telling him the combo with the cedarwood made it work. So he opened them & smelled & agreed the scent was perfect & what he would have picked himself.
Now to shave with the soap, because it has been cold & my husband has been out hunting he had quite the beard beginning, you know the kind that dulls razors fast, not only that but he gets dirty black at his job so he can not keep a beard to long because it looks grungy fast, that & the fact I so prefer him clean-shaven, the mustache is fine he had that when I met him, but not big on the beard, so he lathered up to shave & I heard him make this comment "Not sure yet how well it works for shaving but it is already getting the black gunk off of my hands thats hard to wash off & out of my beard". He does have very sensitive skin so I am pretty sure he was worrying, but right away I noticed he seemed to be having no issues so I left him to shave after clicking a picture. And his verdict was he loved it, he got a close shave that smelled great & did not irritate him. He also loved using the Aftershave too, but in all honesty I think he likes the fact it is in a flask the most.
So yes these products without a Doubt make it on my "Cheree's Favorites" list & my brand new "Husband Approved" list. I must also add getting more of these products if at all possible to the "Family Wishlist"
